Overview

What is Junior Development?

Junior Development is Ignite Tennis’s core coaching programme for children aged 4 to 18, running weekly at Finchley Manor and Conway Lawn Tennis Club in north London. Delivered by LTA-qualified coaches, it builds technique, movement, match awareness and confidence through structured, age- and stage-appropriate group coaching.

Players are grouped by age and ability and follow a clear development pathway from a nervous first session with mini tennis through to competitive county and national juniors. Every player is assessed and placed in the right group, with regular progress reviews so parents always know how their child is developing and what comes next.

Whether your child is picking up a racket for the first time or already competing, Junior Development gives them the coaching, structure and community to keep improving. One or two sessions a week, all year round.
